About Me

Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at San José State University, San Jose, California. I received my B.Sc. degree from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan in 2012, and my M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan in 2016. I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tennessee Technological University , USA, in 2025, where I was awarded the 2023 Ph.D. Scholarship. I also presented my research at the American Control Conference (ACC) held in San Diego, USA, in 2023. My current research interests include reinforcement learning, autonomous vehicles, building HVAC control, and energy system control.
